Best O Lake is a site-specific exhibition of works by local artists celebrating the beauty of Lake Wendouree, and highlighting the area’s scenery, birdlife and daily movement. The landscape provides a stunning backdrop on which to illustrate this lifestyle, and showcase the important connection locals share with the lake.

BIOGRAPHIES
Andrew Thomas, a local of Ballarat for 30 years, is an international award-winning landscape photographer. He specialises in the Ballarat district as well as the USA’s national parks. Living within walking distance of Lake Wendouree has provided the opportunity to compile an incredible archive of images of the lake.

Neil Sinclair is a Ballarat resident who is fascinated by Lake Wendouree. Over the years he has captured some of its various moods through photography. Having pushed prams, walked, jogged sailed and ridden around Lake Wendouree for over 50 years, he loves it in all seasons, weather and changing scenes.
