The Ballarat International Foto Biennale presents WATERWORKS, a unique exhibition of photographs, objects and ephemera from the Central Highlands Water archives. For the first time, visitors can delve into the expansive archives through photographic essays and fascinating stories spanning over 150 years of supplying our most precious resource, water.

With a strong focus on ingenuity and sustainability, and the people who make it happen, WATERWORKS will stimulate and educate people from all walks of life. Curator Cash Brown says, “Visitors can expect a sea of images, hidden for decades, exposing the unseen past and illuminating the extraordinary and often invisible achievements of this remarkable organisation from the early gold rush era until the 21st century.”
