In 1985 Robert Imhoff received a call from an international advertising agency that had a problem with a KODAK campaign involving both movie & stills. Did he know a competent Puppeteer? YES was Imhoff’s response. His children regularly watched the Muppets on TV, so that night he phoned the creators, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop in London. Puppeteer Ron Mueck, who was born in Melbourne, was the perfect person to travel to Australia and do the job. Local model-maker Herman Witte was commissioned to build the car. The remainder is history and Mueck is now a noted international hyper-realist sculptor based in London.
