A View from the Hill gives an insight into the world of those who work within Sovereign Hill and the roles they play in telling the goldfields story. This exhibition is a modern look into how we interpret our history and carry on the legacy of educating, engaging and entertaining.
BIOGRAPHY
Australia’s foremost outdoor museum, Sovereign Hill recreates Ballarat’s first 10 years after the discovery of gold in 1851, when thousands of international adventurers rushed to the goldfields in search of fortune. The Red Hill Photographic Rooms and members of the Sovereign Hill Volunteer Photography Club mix views and styles, capturing the hidden moments often lost to the general public in the goldfields story.
