Photographer Victoria McKay has created this exhibition by incorporating her experience and vision with the imaginings of designer Debra Kelly. It explores the way light affects the models, how elements can be harshly beautiful, how the imagination perceives them and how the world comes to know them.

BIOGRAPHIES
Victoria McKay was given her first camera at eight and has rarely been seen without one since. Exploring the everyday and the unusual has led to a desire to create visual stories with strong and interesting characters, giving them a voice. McKay loves to work long hours on her own projects, inserting herself into the creative process and completing her vision. She is a strong believer in collaboration, working with poets, artists and anyone who wants to share their skills and learn from each other, her motto is “no art is made in a vacuum and no one reaches their full potential if only ever working alone.”

Debra Kelly is an internationally recognised artist, highly sought after for her experience in makeup artistry, hair styling, design and her impeccable eye for detail. Kelly has trained globally in Los Angeles, New York and Melbourne with elite artists such as Roshar, Rae Morris, Danessa Myricks and Beau Nelson. Her work has been featured in many publications, including Hacid, Stell, Ellements, Standout Publications and Huff. Debra has also created sets that bring out the story within the subjects and is sort after as a stylist.
