These composed/manipulated photographs hint at human intervention in the landscape. They highlight an interplay between art, context and language. There is an uneasiness as within the images, which push the concept of photographs as static images capturing a single moment, and as a reflection of truth.
BIOGRAPHY
Isabel O’Brien’s photography is deeply informed by her studies: a Fine Arts Degree (Sculpture) and Masters of Art in Public Space. She has exhibited extensively in Australia and participated in international public art projects in Turkey, China and Mexico.
