Artist Lilli Waters showcases pieces from various works in the next collaboration between Craig’s Royal Hotel and the Ballarat International Foto Biennale. Body of Water (2019), Plastic Fish (2017), As the World Falls Down (2016), A Sense of Belonging (2015), Dress & War (2015), Anja (2015), Witness (2013), She Raw (2012) are all included in the wide-ranging exhibition, touching on topics including our relationship with nature, female identity, youth, belonging and girlhood. These images take us to places including Tasmania and Billinudgel, NSW.

Lilli Waters’ ongoing preoccupation is capturing women in landscape. She photographs women to empower both them and herself, bringing forth their strength and raw, honest edges. Waters’ work has been published in magazines including Elle, Yen, Art Aesthetica, Vogue Living and Real Living, and her photographs featured in the films Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. She was invited to show works as part of the Venice Biennale in 2017 and 2019, and created a self-portrait for the ABC’s Art Bites: Mirror in 2018.
