Broken promises, lost dreams and abandonment. Dorothy didn’t make it back to Kansas, and is left languishing in squalid, sub-standard rental accommodation in the wrong part of town. Carl Rainer has created a photographic story with his granddaughter’s Barbie doll, toys, handmade props and small lights.

BIOGRAPHY
After living in the bush for 20 years specialising in astrophotography, Carl Rainer now lives in Melbourne. By profession he is a graphic designer, but if you scratch the skin hard enough, you’ll find a photographer trying to get out.
