The Strong Women Project endeavours to celebrate diversity by creating images through a female gaze. Both the photographer and sitters challenge audience and fine art canons that apply to the portrayal of the female model and societal conventions around gender, age and status.

BIOGRAPHY
Bianca Durrant is a contemporary artist based in Melbourne, who holds a Master of Fine Arts by research. With a focus on installation practice including drawing and photography, her work investigates ideas around collections and the gaze, and how these reflect societal and knowledge constructs.
